
The Answer is simple, at some point Plugin Admin was disabled in Notepad++ for security reasons, but it is re-introduced later in newer version of Notepad++ which solved the installation problem. Update: I have been asked why this way, if I can already install Notepad++ compare plugin via Plugin Admin. dll file directly in plugin folder:ģ2bit: %programfiles(x86)%\Notepad++\plugins Maytham Fahmi It is also possible to drag and drop the plugin. The plugin should appear under Plugins menu.Import plugin from the temporary folder.Unzip Compare-plugin in temporary folder.

– for Notepad++ 7.7 and above use Compare v2.0.0 for Notepad++ 7.7

– for Notepad++ 7.5 and above use Compare v2.
